4-Letter Word Finder
Find 4-letter words using Your Letters, starts, ends, patterns, inclusion and exclusion filters, with Scrabble scores.
Find 4-Letter Words
Enter Your Letters to find words from a letter bank, or leave it blank to browse all four-letter words. A question mark (?) represents a blank tile or unknown pattern position.
Words come from the configured MesraTools dictionary. Acceptance in Scrabble and other word games depends on their official dictionaries. Scores use English Scrabble letter values.

Use question marks for unknown positions. Processing stays in the browser.
4-Letter Finder Demo
Try pattern ?A?E. The first and third letters may vary, while A and E stay fixed in their positions.
How to use the result
Use a pattern when positions are known and included/excluded letters when only letter membership is known. Combining both usually produces a smaller, more useful result set.
Tip: start with the least restrictive input, review the candidates, then add one filter at a time. This makes it easier to understand why a word was included or excluded.
What this tool does
This MesraTools Word function runs locally against the configured word dataset and gives immediate browser-based results. It is intended for learning, puzzle assistance and word exploration.
Limitations
The current development package does not claim a complete tournament or dictionary authority. Word validity can vary between dictionaries, regions and individual game rules.
Use this tool effectively
Start with what you know
Enter the strongest known letters, positions or length first. Narrow inputs normally produce more useful candidates.
Try the example
Use this page’s worked demo before replacing it with your own letters so you can see how the controls affect results.
Interpret carefully
A candidate satisfies the current MesraTools filters and development word data; it is not automatically accepted by every commercial word game.
Choose the right helper
Use Word Solver for combined filters, Anagram Solver for rearranging letters, and Pattern Finder when known positions matter most.
