How it works

With resizing off, only PNG/JPG density fields are changed: pixel data and other metadata stay intact. DPI tags do not create image detail. With resizing on, centimetres/inches and DPI determine output pixels; metadata is removed. Keep ratio uses your chosen width and calculates the height. Print size still depends on your printer’s settings.

Output is a new file. Keep your original image. Final output is limited to 12 megapixels. Browser memory and format support can limit large images.
