Audio Zero-Crossing Analyzer
Count sample-sign zero crossings per decoded channel and report crossing rate evidence.
What this tool does
Zero-crossing rate can be useful as basic waveform evidence, but it is not pitch detection and should not be interpreted as a quality score.
How it works
The selected file is decoded with the browser Web Audio API. The analysis or channel operation runs locally on decoded PCM samples. Outputs are generated without altering the original file.
Limitations and interpretation
Browser codec support varies. Results describe decoded sample data only and must not be presented as forensic, certified metering, perceptual-quality or mastering evidence beyond the stated calculation.
Privacy
Processing for this tool stays in the browser and the selected file is not intentionally uploaded by this page.
FAQ
Does it modify the source? No. Can unsupported formats be forced? No; decoding capability depends on the browser. Is the result a quality score? No.
