Audio Pause Statistics Analyzer
Measure threshold-derived pause count, total pause time, pause ratio, average, median, longest and shortest sustained quiet intervals.
Choose a browser-decodable audio file.
What the statistics mean
Pause count is the number of sustained below-threshold regions. Total pause time is their combined duration. Pause ratio divides that total by decoded duration. Average and median describe pause length, while longest and shortest show the range.
Practical uses
The report can help review interviews, narration, lectures, podcasts, meeting recordings, or editing sessions where you want objective digital quiet-time evidence. It is not speaker diarization and should not be used to infer conversational intent or performance quality automatically.
Example
If a 10-minute recording contains 120 seconds of threshold-qualified pauses, the pause ratio is approximately 20%. Changing the threshold can materially change that figure, so retain the settings with any report you compare.
Privacy and processing
This Build 119 workflow decodes and processes the selected file in the browser. It does not intentionally upload the audio to MesraTools.
Important limitations
Threshold segments and transient/tempo evidence are editing aids. They do not establish speaker identity, musical structure, exact beats, legal/forensic authenticity, mastering quality, or guaranteed seamless loop points.
