Audio Gain & Peak Normalize
Apply a fixed gain or normalize the highest sample peak to a selected dBFS target, then export a new WAV.
What peak normalization means
Peak normalization measures the largest decoded sample and scales the entire signal so that peak reaches the chosen dBFS target. It is not LUFS loudness normalization and does not guarantee equal perceived loudness between songs or voices.
Gain mode
Fixed gain adds or subtracts the same dB amount from the full signal. Positive gain may push samples beyond digital full scale; Build 104 reports samples that required clipping to the WAV range.
Recommended settings
For simple peak headroom, −1 dBFS is a practical starting point. Do not interpret peak normalization as mastering, broadcast compliance or loudness matching.

Processing is local. WAV export does not preserve source ID3 tags, artwork or compressed-format metadata.
