Media Stream Inspector

Convert or trim videos, remove sound, extract audio, or inspect media streams. Processing runs locally in your browser. The media engine downloads about 32 MB from this website on first use.

Up to 5 files and 100 MB total. Start with a short clip. Conversion is slower than desktop software; keep this tab open.

Practical limits

Supported codecs depend on the included FFmpeg build. Damaged, encrypted or unsupported sources show an error. Use Inspect media to see available audio streams, then enter the stream number for extraction. Batch files receive separate download links. New outputs strip metadata. GIF has no audio; other video formats preserve audio unless you choose Remove video audio.

MP4 uses H.264/AAC; WebM uses VP8/Opus. Long or high-resolution media can exceed browser memory or the five-minute processing limit. Reduce the selected duration or output width. Cancel stops processing and clears temporary files from memory.
