Momentary & Short-Term Loudness Timeline
Inspect 400 ms momentary and 3-second short-term K-weighted loudness evidence across a mono or stereo recording.
Choose a mono or stereo browser-decodable audio file.
What the timeline shows
Momentary evidence uses 400 ms windows and short-term evidence uses 3-second windows. The chosen step controls how often a new point is calculated. Use the timeline to locate comparatively louder or quieter passages before editing.
Interpretation
Short recordings may have no 3-second points. A changing timeline does not itself indicate a defect; speech and music naturally vary. Keep the time series with its step/window information when comparing results.
Privacy
This Build 122 workflow decodes and analyzes audio locally in the browser; the selected file is not intentionally uploaded.
Standards and limitations
Integrated/window loudness uses the MesraTools BS.1770-style mono/stereo foundation. Peak planning uses the Build 121 4× inter-sample peak estimate. These tools are analytical planning aids, not certified broadcast meters, official dBTP/LRA instruments, limiters, or delivery-compliance certificates.
