Loudness Range Evidence Analyzer
Estimate loudness variation from gated 3-second short-term loudness percentiles, with explicit non-certification.
Choose a browser-decodable mono or stereo audio file.
What this measures
Build 121 calculates K-weighted 3-second short-term loudness blocks, applies an absolute gate and a relative gate 20 LU below the qualified mean, then reports the 10th-to-95th percentile spread.
Important naming
The result is intentionally called loudness-range evidence. It is inspired by the common LRA workflow but is not labelled a certified EBU Tech 3342 LRA measurement until independent reference validation and conformance evidence exist.
Practical use
Use it to compare how dynamically steady or varied two versions appear under the same settings. Very short files may not contain enough 3-second blocks for a useful range.
Privacy
This Build 121 analyzer decodes and measures the selected audio in the browser; it does not intentionally upload the file to MesraTools.
Scope and limitations
Build 121 deliberately limits integrated loudness and loudness-range evidence to mono/stereo because browser-decoded multichannel channel-layout metadata is not reliable enough for truthful BS.1770 channel weighting. These results are technical aids, not a broadcast/mastering compliance certificate.
