Inter-Sample Peak Estimator
Estimate peaks that may occur between decoded samples using bounded 4× windowed-sinc oversampling.
Choose a browser-decodable mono or stereo audio file.
Why inter-sample peaks matter
A reconstructed waveform can exceed the largest stored sample between sample instants. Build 121 estimates this by evaluating a bounded windowed-sinc interpolation at four positions per input sample interval.
Not an official dBTP meter
The output remains an inter-sample peak estimate in dBFS-equivalent terms. MesraTools does not label it certified dBTP because this foundation does not yet implement and validate the exact standardized true-peak filter/conformance test suite.
Recommendation
If a mastering or broadcast specification requires true peak, verify the final file with a separately validated standards-compliant meter before delivery.
Privacy
This Build 121 analyzer decodes and measures the selected audio in the browser; it does not intentionally upload the file to MesraTools.
Scope and limitations
Build 121 deliberately limits integrated loudness and loudness-range evidence to mono/stereo because browser-decoded multichannel channel-layout metadata is not reliable enough for truthful BS.1770 channel weighting. These results are technical aids, not a broadcast/mastering compliance certificate.
