Audio Declip Analyzer & Repair
Analyze decoded samples near digital full scale and optionally interpolate only short clipped runs.
What it does
The analyzer counts consecutive decoded samples at or above your selected absolute threshold. Repair mode linearly interpolates only short bounded runs with clean samples on both sides.
When to use it
Use it for obvious short flat-topped digital clipping where a few consecutive samples have hit or nearly hit full scale.
Limitations
This is not true-peak reconstruction, spectral declipping, analog saturation recovery, AI restoration or forensic repair. Long clipped regions are deliberately left untouched. A high decoded sample value does not by itself prove clipping occurred in the original recording chain.
Recommendation
Analyze first, begin near 0.985, keep the maximum repair run short, and compare repaired transients with the untouched original.
Privacy & output
Processing is local in your browser. Export is a newly generated 16-bit PCM WAV; original tags/artwork are not preserved.
FAQ
Is this professional forensic restoration? No. Build 116 is a bounded utility foundation and remains Production Ready gated.
