Audio Click / Pop Repair
Repair isolated single-sample or very short click/pop discontinuities using conservative local interpolation.
What it does
This tool detects unusually large isolated sample discontinuities compared with their immediate neighbours and replaces only detected samples with local interpolation.
When it helps
It can help with sparse digital ticks or very short pops. It is deliberately conservative and may leave longer damage untouched rather than inventing large sections of audio.
Limitations
This is not clipping reconstruction, scratch removal across long regions, vinyl restoration, packet-loss concealment, AI inpainting or forensic repair. Percussive music can resemble clicks, so aggressive thresholds may alter legitimate transients.
Recommended workflow
Start with threshold 8 or higher. Lower it only when obvious clicks remain, and compare transient-heavy passages carefully. Keep the untouched original.
Privacy & output
Processing is local in the browser. Export is a new 16-bit PCM WAV without source tags/artwork.
FAQ
Does it fix clipped peaks? No. Does it repair long scratches? No; this foundation targets isolated very short discontinuities.
