Stereo Channel Delay & Alignment Analyzer
Estimate a bounded static integer-sample delay between two decoded stereo channels and optionally delay the earlier channel to align it.
How the analysis works
A bounded center window is compared using normalized cross-correlation across integer sample lags within your selected search range. Positive lag means the right channel appears later than the left; negative lag means the left appears later.
Correction method
Correction does not advance or resample audio. It delays the earlier channel by an integer number of samples with zero padding so both channels have the same original duration; the corresponding tail samples of that delayed channel are displaced beyond the output.
Limitations
This is not fractional-delay estimation, phase rotation, automatic microphone-array calibration, clock-drift correction or time-varying synchronization. Highly different left/right content, stereo effects, polarity changes or weak correlation can make the estimate meaningless. Listen and compare before using the corrected file.
